Description
These bangles are made of caña flecha (Gynerium sagittatum), a tall tropical grass belonging to the order of Poaceae, that grows up to five meters long. Once washed, cut into thin strips, dryed and dyed, the fiber of the leaves is then woven. This pre-columbian tradition is kept alive by the Zenú Indians, from Cilombia, in the Córdoba department.
